About Us

The Frame x Frame Film Club is a collaborative project led by former employees of the Columbia Film Society. We collectively believe that independent film and media is a catalyst for critical dialogue in our community. We want to amplify voices that have historically been oppressed and marginalized in the Midlands of South Carolina, and beyond. We see a need to continue this work and have the skills and passion to accomplish it.

All collaborators for Frame x Frame are volunteers. We hope you appreciate and enjoy this programming. If you would like to support the laid-off employees of the CFS, you can donate at our Paypal link below.

How This Works

This is free to anyone who wants to participate.

A member of the group will choose one film to screen per month. We will announce a date for a livestream conversation between the curator and a panel to discuss the themes addressed in the film. You’ll be able to stream the conversation for free on Facebook or YouTube and ask questions to the panel to get responses in real-time.

All films will be from the Kanopy catalog, which is a free streaming platform with your public library card.
